A night in Paris after more than 2 weeks in Indonesia... Back to Boulogne to share a dinner with my friend Michael. I brought a bottle (I will speak about it later) but a bottle of red burgundy was already open: A Morey St Denis from Georges Roumier, 1er Cru de la Bussière 1996.

Great producer in Burgundy, I am looking forward to try this bottle.

The wine seems very young, revealing a bright red colour with a little evolution on the disk.

The nose is very discrete at the beginning.
After few minutes, it reveals very nice flavours of red fruits and spices.

The palate is also discrete but will be better and better during the dinner.
I like the fineness of the wine, in the mouth it is very sweet.
Just the length is not too long but it is really a pleasure to drink this wine.
It is even better after one hour... but the bottle is almost empty.

With a red meat prepared by Michael, I enjoyed this night.
