I really like Domaine Roulot. Great Meursault's winemaker (Article HERE), he also does a "Bourgogne Blanc" and a "Bourgogne
Aligoté".
Tonight we tried the "Bourgogne Blanc"
The grapes are from vines just around the Meursault's vines.
The cork is ok, slightly moistened.
The colour is pale yellow, very bright.
The nose is very fresh... and seems very young for a 2007...
It reveals notes of citrus, hazelnuts, toasted bread and white flowers.
The palate is interesting. Straight, quite long in the mouth, I like the freshness!!
The end is made around citrus with a nice acidity and bitterness.
A very nice Bourgogne Blanc, maybe better than some Meursault villages.
