Yesterday night I was in a wine bar of Lausanne called Midi 20 and I'd tried a Swiss wine from Ticino. It was a good surprise.
The wine: BIANCO ROVERE 2008
Producer: Guido Brivio
Varietal: Merlot
Region: Ticino Switzerland
COLOUR: Straw yellow color
NOSE: Intense and complex, with aromas of citrus, exotic fruits and roasted and buttery notes
PALATE: Round with density and freshness
The wine has a good structure, maybe a little bit of wood at the end (8 months in new oak barrels), but it's really a good wine. You can drink it with Cheese from Chavignol (France) or with
smoked fish.
