I'd like to speak about this domain I like, Domaine Charvin.
They make 2 wines :
- Côte du Rhône
- Chateauneuf du Pape
Tonight, I've tasted the Côte du Rhône.
The wine: COTE DU RHONE 2004
Producer: Domaine Charvin
Varietal: Grenache (mainly), Shiraz.
Region: Rhone Valley
COLOUR: Dark red
NOSE: Nice nose, very open with red fruits (strawberry, cherry) and herbs (thyme, rosemary). A little bit of liquorice too.
PALATE:The mouth is built on the acidity and with fine tannins (well integrated). The final is straight and long with lot of fruit in the mouth.
For me it's a good wine, one of the best Côte du Rhône (and not expensive). You can easily find bottles for 14 CHF, and the pleasure is nice.
Where can you find this wine:
Maybe on internet, or in Vevey for Swiss people, at "Le Millesime"
