Pernand Vergelesses, Olivier Leflaive 2009

A few days ago my cousin Martin came in Lausanne to visit us... Good surprise...
As he likes white wines, we opened a Pernand Vergelesses from Olivier Leflaive that I have just received...

I like these wines not so well known... and not so expensive... Just a good wine for the pleasure.
But maybe this one is a bit too young...
The wine is good but the flavours are not very expressed.
I think it's better to wait cause the 2007 was very nice!

The colour of this wine is pale yellow.

The nose is a little bit "discreet", but reveals flavours of lime-tree and green tea... but is less expressive than the 2007
The same with the palate. It is good, on the green tea again, with a little bit of honey and flint...
At the end it is better, a little of buttered notes are coming.

Clearly, it is better to wait for this wine.

Last thing, look at the cork below, made by an italian, the "Guala Seal".
A nice cork for the young wines which don't need to stay a lot inthe cellar...

To conclude, I like this Pernand Vergelesses from Olivier Leflaive, but the 2009 needs to wait a little bit. I think in one year it will be like the 2007 which was very nice!!!
