In the Loire Valley, there are two brothers (Nady and Charly Foucault) who make one of the best Saumur Champigny of the appellation... the Clos Rougeard.
There are 3 "cuvées", named Clos, Poyeux and Bourg. I already spoke about Clos 2007 HERE, but last friday, with a night around Loire Valley, we opened a
Poyeux 2004.

The bottle was opened 3 hours before eating.
The nose is very interesting with dark fruits (blackberry), red pepper, with a nice freshness.
The palate is very interesting, complex, very sweet, very balanced with a nice length...
It is very good, I like the fineness and the elegance... What a great wine!!
I really like this domain, one of my favourite...
