After the great Egon Müller Riesling, We've tasted a wine from the Rhône Valley (north part), a Condrieu. But not any Condrieu, one of the best of the appellation, Les Chaillées de l'Enfer from Domaine Vernay.

Condrieu Bt

I opened the bottle 4 hours before drinking it.

Condrieu Verre

The colour is really nice, a golden yellow extremly bright.

The nose is a little bit discreet just after pouring it.
After ten minutes, it is really better, white flowers, white peach, apricot and citrus also are in the glass!!
It is very nice to smell!!
The palate is amazing, with a great fineness. It is very complex, with flavours of citrus and a hint of honey.
I reall like this wine, but maybe even better in few years...

Finally, a great wine, very good with the foie gras served during this night!

To be continued...
